#ThankYouMiami for Fashion - Desert Dreamin'

I spent the past week in California with my sisters between San Francisco, L.A. and Joshua Tree. The occasion was a sister bonding trip with the 9-hour road trip from San Francisco to Hidden Valley as its corner stone. Now that the trip is over and that it went well, I can proudly take credit for picking Joshua Tree as our destination. (Pre-trip everyone was a bit skeptical of my idea to venture into the the desert in the middle of summer. I was too when I saw the forecast during our stay went as high as 109 degrees.)

We rented a super cute hiking cabin on Airbnb about 15 minutes driving distance from the west entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. The air conditioned studio has two queen sized beds and a small full kitchen that was ideal for our stay. The pièce de resistance however was its location which overlooked open desert views from every side, perfect for watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee and watching the sun set with a glass of wine.

My sisters and I woke up at 5 a.m. on our last day to enjoy one final desert sunrise together. Even though I was mesmerized by the views, Miami was clearly on my mind as I sipped a strong cup of Café Bustelo and cozied up in my new, Made-In-Miami The Dreamland Company daydreamer pjs to fend of the cold desert morning. You can take the girl out of Miami, but you can't take the Miami out of the girl...
